TTFSE User Survey After One Year of Implementation

Two essential principles of the TTFSE program are the continuous measurement of performance related to trade and transport facilitation and a strong partnership with users (freight forwarders, Customs brokers, transport operators, traders) and their associations in the eight SEE countries involved. Through these two instruments, decision makers understand better the areas where they need to act in priority and the type of response they need to formulate to meet user expectations. The reports below provide the results of a regional survey covering 150 users in Southeast Europe, organized thanks to a partnership between the World Bank, the Austrian Government, the Consulting firm PlanConsult, and the Chambers of Commerce and PRO-Committees in Southeast Europe. We thank the large number of contributors who made it possible.

The report provides an analysis of user responses regarding : (i) their perception of border agencies in SEE (including corruption) (see a summary graph for example below); (ii) transport time and cost; and (iii) trade evolution. The analysis draws on the survey results to review the evolution compared to 1999. The annexes provide the questionnaires used for the survey.

We welcome your feedback and ideas to further strengthen this type of analysis next year.
