Performance Indicators

As part of the TTFSE Program, all countries involved agreed to measure performance indicators of two types :

  • Data on the performance and efficiency of Customs Administrations in Southeast Europe since 1999
  • Data on the border crossing times and clearance times, as experienced by users at the TTFSE pilot sites.

The following Excel workbook provides these data both at a regional level and by pilot site. It is based on the methodology described in details in the TTFSE Manual (90 pages, pdf, 475 KB)

The methodology entails measurement of processing times at pilot sites, usually on a monthly basis, and of the overall Customs performance on an annual basis. Performance at pilot sites are measured by the National Customs Administrations of the countries concerned with support of US Customs consultants under the TTFSE program.

We hope you will find these data useful and would welcome your feedback. The document will be updated quarterly. While these data are considered representative, some fluctuations do occur. The trend provides the most useful information.

You can view the workbook in two different ways:

1. Through this Internet browser, by clicking on one of the two links below. You will be able to view each page in the workbook by clicking on the different tabs at the bottom of the Internet browser webpage. When opening the link you will prompted to answer to two questions. Select "no" for both.

2. Through your Excel application, by downloading the file. To download the file, click on the link with right mouse button and choose "Save Target As.." (in Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As..." (in Netscape Navigator). A standard "Save As..." dialogue box will appear, and you will have to choose the location on your drive where the file is to be saved. When opening the file you will prompted to answer to two questions. Select "yes" to enable macros and "no" to update links.
