Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER)
The CEER brings together energy regulators from fifteen European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA) Member States: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland).

The European Regulators’ Group for Electricity and Gas (ERGEG)
The European Regulators’ Group for Electricity and Gas (ERGEG), which the European Commission set up on 11 November 2003 by Decision 2003/796/EC, will act as an advisory group of independent national regulatory authorities to assist the Commission in consolidating the Internal Market for electricity and gas. The Group should in particular help ensure a consistent application in all Member States of the recently adopted new electricity and gas directives as well as the new Regulation on cross-border exchanges of electricity. The group will provide a transparent platform for co-operation between national regulatory authorities and between these authorities and the Commission. All market participants, consumers and end users will be able to provide input to its activities.

European Association of Electricity Transmission System Operators (ETSO)
In 2001 ETSO became an International Association with direct membership of 32 independent TSO companies from the 15 countries of the European Union plus Norway and Switzerland. At the end of 2001 ETSO membership was enlarged to Slovenia and CENTREL countries as full and associate members respectively. In June 2003 the Czech Republic has been admitted as full member of ETSO.

Union for the Co-ordination of Transmission of Electricity (UCTE)
The "Union for the Co-ordination of Transmission of Electricity" (UCTE) is the association of transmission system operators in continental Europe, providing a reliable market base by efficient and secure electric "power highways".

Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA)
ERRA is a voluntary organization of independent energy regulatory bodies of the Central/Eastern European and Newly Independent States region.

The European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET)
EFET is a group of more than 60 energy trading companies from 15 European countries dedicated to stimulate and promote energy trading throughout Europe.

Gas Transmission Europe (GTE)
GTE represents the gas infrastructure industry in Europe through its members which are gas transmission companies. It has recently decided to take the following actions:
- To invite all Transmission System Operators, Storage System Operators and LNG Terminal Operators which are not yet member of GTE to apply for membership
- To set up a specific GTE Group to consider ECSEE related topics and provide inputs and technical expertise
