Printing

  1. Page Setup:
    (figures 1 and 2)

  1. Paper size
Before you can print a document, you have to make sure that you have selected the actual paper size that you are using in your printer. Our pages can be printed on both letter and A4 formats. If you wish to print HTML pages in landscape, you have to manually select the paper orientation. For pdf files, however, this is not necessary, because paper orientation is automatically adjusted.

  1. Margins
Check the margins - if the margins are too large, some of our pages may not be printed correctly. If you are not able to print the page in its full width, please reduce the margins. If you set the margins to less than 10 mm you will definitely be able to print all pages.

  1. Header ad Footer
Under "Page Setup" you can also customize page headers and footers. In Netscape, the page header can contain the document title and/or location (URL), while the footer can include page number, total number of pages and the current date. In Internet Explorer you can fully customize both page headers and footers, which may contain any text you wish.

Page Setup can be found in main menu, under File->Page Setup. A dialogue box like this will appear:

  1. Printing:

When you click on "Print" (in the main menu, under File->Print, or on the toolbar icon), a dialogue box appears (figure 3). Make sure that the printer you selected is properly installed, turned on and connected to your machine or network. To adjust paper size, print quality, resolution etc., click on "Properties".

If the color photographs from our site do not look nice when printed, it probably means that your printer is set to economy mode (for toner-saving printing). Make sure that you have selected the highest printing resolution on your printer.
