Rehabilitation of housing and associated infrastructures – 10 MEURO

An indicative target of 2.200 potential beneficiaries has been set. This figure can probably be doubled as a consequence of the two-way and sometimes even multiple effect of the return. A Commission decision on the 2000 funds is envisaged for July 2000. The implementation phase should start immediately after. The programme is focussing on the sustainability of return and on the integration of the returnees in the receiving municipalities. The projects include the reconstruction of dwellings, the rehabilitation of technical, social and economic infrastructure and de-mining activities.
