The table below was compiled on the basis of
information submitted to the Joint European Commission/World Bank
office for South East Europe by donors prior to and at the donor
coordination meeting for the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY)
which took place on December 12, 2000. The meeting was not a
pledging session, so donor contributions were not specifically
sought. The information received on donor assistance for urgent
winter needs of the FRY is compared below to the needs identified in
the Review of Urgent Assistance Needs for the Federal Republic of
Yugoslavia (excluding Kosovo) Winter/Spring 2000/2001, December 5,
2000, prepared by the Office for Coordination of Humanitarian
Affairs in Belgrade. A full economic recovery strategy expected to
be ready by April 2000 will serve as a basis for a Pledging
Conference that would be organized shortly thereafter.
